Document Description
The proposed project activities include the replacement of the backup electrical power generator and small-scale maintenance and improvements of facilities at the NEU Station 61-Loma Rica state property. A new propane-powered generator will be placed on the existing pad/enclosed area where the current generator is located. A new 1000-gallon propane tank with in-ground protective bollards will be installed to fuel the new generator. Minor trenching from new propane tank to generator will be required. Less than one acre of soil will be disrupted for all project work. Trenched areas will be backfilled to original grade and no change in drainage pattern will occur. Main apparatus bay building siding (Stucco) will be repaired and updated. The existing gym and well pump building will have the old siding removed (T1-11) and will be replaced with Stucco. All buildings as well as the storage container on the property will be painted. Two small concrete pads will be poured for the station’s dumpster placement and the new generator propane tank.
