Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15060 (c)(2) and Section 15060 (c)(3).
Reasons for Exemption
The subject ordinance would be exempt from the requirements to prepare additional environmental documentation per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15060 (c)(2) and Section 15060 (c)(3). Section 15060 (c)(2) states that the activity will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. Section 15060 (c)(3) states that the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378. The proposed protections for Community Preservation Officers in the performance of their duties will not result in a direct or reasonable foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment and are not a ‘project,’ as the term is defined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.
