Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Professions Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a cannabis cultivation license. This project includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor cannabis located in Trinity County. Cultivation activities include approximately 6,282 SF of outdoor canopy area consisting of two 3.5x90 rows and seventeen 3.5x95 rows for mature canopy. Existing support infrastructure includes a temporary 15x20 hoop house for immature canopy, a permitted groundwater well, a 2,500 gallon water storage tank, 8x10 cannabis waste area-compost, 10x12 shed for office and chemical storage, 10x12 shed for harvest storage, and 10x12 shed for packaging/processing. Water for the project is provided from an onsite well. Onsite systems serve water waste needs.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
