Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of an anticipated to be metal 4-inch water drafting pipe into a private 3.4-acre reservoir to be used in drafting water for emergency fire use and fire trucks. The water drafting pipe will have a screen placed over the submerged intake. An excavator with a boom attachment will dig a trench approximately 16 inches wide and 10 feet long along the reservoir bank. The pipe will then be laid in the trench, with trenched material from the reservoir bottom placed back over the pipe. Clean sand may be used to cover the laid pipe within the bed and cover the pipe before backfilling. All disturbed areas will be returned to preconstruction conditions. The road leading to the reservoir pond and parking pad will be rocked to prevent erosion.
