Document Description
The work involves an approximately 975 SF Toxicology lab remodel located at the second floor (Area F) of the existing two-story. The space currently has four fume hoods - three will be removed and six will be added (5 ft hoods are assumed). It is assumed a new makeup air unit will be needed to supply the needed additional airflow. In addition, biological safety cabinets will be incorporated, but without exhaust (and makeup air). A new lab systems/equipment/cabinets and new suspended ceiling and lighting will be installed A portion of the existing desktop, upper shelves, and cabinets will also be removed. New flooring will be installed to a portion of the room and walls will be repainted. The space will remain operational during renovation. Electrical construction tools will be used to demo and install improvements.
