Document Description
The project proposes to install a 960-gross square foot, temporary modular building to serve as a plant sciences laboratory (#28A) to complement existing educational uses offered at adjacent Fruit and Crop Greenhouse building for the College of Agriculture. Construction is expected to take 2 to 4 months; site work will involve minor trenching, backfilling, grading, and extension of existing infrastructure. The project will be served with existing parking. The project is consistent with the Campus Master Plan.

Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of the installation of a small structure that serves as an accessory to existing fruit/crop building which is exempted in Class 3, New Construction of Small Structures (15303) and Class 11 (15311). The project does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees work; involves minor trenching and backfilling; grading on land with a slope of less than 10%; and intended to be a temporary use of land having negligible or no permanent effects on the environment, which is exempted in Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land (15304). Finally, the portable class will not increase student capacity more than 25%, which is exempted in Class 14 (15314).
