Document Description
PG&E is proposing to contract tree removal work to Wright Tree Service of the West, to maintain safe and reliable electric service and mandated clearance to comply with federal and state regulatory requirements for public safety and fire prevention, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) 21 trees for removal at 21 locations under or adjacent to the Antler 1101 12 kilovolt (kV) electric distribution line on Caltrans Right-of-Way (ROW) land in Shasta County, California.
Work sites are found in the Tier 2 Elevated Fire Threat District. PG&E is required to maintain electrical line conductors clear from vegetation, as specified by Public Resource Code 4293 and California Public Utilities Commission General Order 95, Rule 35.

The California Department of Transportation has determined the project to be categorically exempt in accordance with Section 15301 (Existing Facilities), Class 1 (Operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination), Subclass (h)—Maintenance of existing landscaping, native growth, and water supply reservoirs. The project would have no significant effect on the environment.
