The project involves minor alterations to land in the removal of dead and dying trees which are considered highly flammable fuels in the event of a wildfire. Uncontrolled wildfire in the park would have sever impacts on natural resources and on the environment. Removal of the trees and disposal of biomass will lessen the risk of devastating wildfire, protecting Anthony Chabot Regional Park’s natural resources and environment.
