Document Description
The project consists of developing a dog park on the grounds of the existing Brookside Adult Shelter to provide space for occupants’ dogs. The project will remove and improve some existing hardscape to construct three dog play areas with artificial turf, one wash station, two dog kennels, and four benches. Drainage for the wash station will be connected to the existing sewer pipe. The existing path will be upgraded, and other areas will be improved with decomposed granite, concrete, asphalt, drainage rock, and gravel, and fencing. Excavation of up to three feet will be needed for the improvements. Tree and vegetation trimming may be necessary. Construction best management practices will be implemented for air, water, and noise control such as storm drain inlet protection, dust control, and working during daytime hours. The project is anticipated to begin in March of 2024 and take approximately 90 working days to complete.
