Document Description
Caltrans proposes to remove and replace concrete panels on northbound Interstate 15 near Bernardo Center Drive. The Office of Geotechnical Design investigated the area and determined the cracking in the concrete panels was likely due to the softening of loose fill and expansive sub grade soils. Progressive widening of the cracks will provide an avenue for surface water to negatively impact the structural section and sub grade soils.
