Document Description
The proposed includes installation of both small-scale and large-scale trash capture devices and associated stormwater infrastructure at 35 project sites in Mendocino County. Small-scale devices would include structures such as connector pipe screens and hanging baskets installed at storm drain inlets. Large-scale devices would include structures such as hydrodynamic separators, netting devices, and baffle boxes. The devices would be installed in two phases: Phase 1 would occur at 30 sites planned for 2024, and Phase 2 would occur at five sites planned for 2025. Work at Phase 2 sites may result in alteration of a streambed or stream bank, may affect a jurisdictional water or wetland, or would require a more complex design. As such, most sites in Phase 2 would require regulatory permitting and approvals, whereas sites included in Phase 1 would not.
