Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego determined that the project would qualify to be categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities which allows for permitting of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. Since the proposed project is to remove the condition related to the expiration date of the existing Clubhouse of the La Jolla Country Club with no new uses or construction, the exemption is appropriate; and where the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would not apply.
