Document Description
The San Benito RCD will work with conservation partners, farmers, ranchers, and the community to install native plants on working and public lands to improve habitat for pollinators and other wildlife, increase soil health, and create educational opportunities for the community. Practices may include native plant hedgerows, riparian plantings, wildlife habitat plantings, post-burn seeding, pasture seeding for pollinators, caging native oak tree saplings to protect from browse, and/or pollinator plantings in community settings. Activities will include installing plants on working farms and ranches and at least one community site, followed by watering and weed control.

No healthy, mature trees will be removed. The total acreage affected will not exceed 5 acres. No work will be conducted within the stream channel or below the high water mark.
