PG&E is proposing to contract tree removal work to Mountain F. Enterprises, to maintain safe and reliable electric service and mandated clearance to comply with federal and state regulatory requirements for public safety and fire prevention, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) identified 10 trees for removal and 2 trees for trim under or adjacent to the Big Meadows 2101 12 kilovolt (kV) electric distribution line on Caltrans Right-of-Way (ROW) land in Shasta County, California. Work sites are found in the Tier 3 Extreme Fire threat areas. PG&E is required to maintain electrical line conductors clear from vegetation, as specified by Public Resource Code 4293 and California Public Utilities Commission General Order 95, Rule 35.

The project would have no significant effect on the environment.
