Document Description
San Joaquin field division plans to repair the side of a hill that has eroded due to rain. To do this work, a sheepsfoot compaction wheel attached to a backhoe would be used to compact the erosion and the surrounding area. Base material would be applied and compacted in layers. A water truck would be used to aid in compaction and to control dust. Hand tools such as shovels and rakes would also be used. All work will take place within DWR’s right of way. This work is estimated to take 4 to 5 weeks to complete and is planned to start sometime between spring and summer. This work is necessary to prevent mud from flowing onto the road.
