Reasons for Exemption
The City of Los Angeles determined based on the whole of the administrative record, that the Project is exempt from CEQA pursuant to
CEQA Guidelines, Section 15303 (Class 3), and there is no substantial evidence demonstrating that an exception to a categorical
exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines, Section 15300.2 applies. The project was found to be exempt based on the following:
The Class 3 Categorical Exemption allows for the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures,
including (e) accessory (appurtenant) structures including garages, carports, patios, swimming pools, and fences. The project includes
the construction of a 6'-0" tall, 96'-6" long masonry wall in the front yard with two steel slatted vehicular gates, one steel slatted pedestrian
gate, and an additional 6'-0" tall, 3'-0" long section of tubular steel fence connected to the neighboring fence. Therefore, this project is
eligible for this exemption.
