Document Description
UC Davis proposes the Equine Standing Computerized Tomography (CT) project. The project will improve infrastructure to the existing room 1230 at the All Species Imaging Center to support the installation of a standing CT scanner. The project is a renovation of the existing space that includes the installation of a concrete pit to house the new equipment, installing a sump pump, underground electrical conduit, structural improvements to existing walls and ceiling, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing modifications, and new animal enclosures and gates will be installed.

The renovation existing facilities qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 1 of the Guidelines for the Implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to the operation, repair, permitting, leasing, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of an existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
