Document Description
The proposed project is to rehabilitate ramp pavement in San Diego County in San Diego at the eastbound SR-56 exit ramp to Rancho Penasquitos (PM 8.333). The ramp pavement has deteriorated past maintenance capabilities; intervention is needed to improve drivability. The scope of work includes cold planing the top 0.2 feet of the existing asphalt concrete and replacing it with 0.2 feet of rubberized hot asphalt mix along the entire width of the on-ramp. No ground disturbance would occur, and all work would be done on the paved travel way within Caltrans ROW.
