Document Description
The proposed project will reconstruct the pavement of Taxiway A, including shoulders and taxiway connectors of Taxiway D and E. The vehicle service road, adjacent impacted runup, and compass rose would also be reconstructed due to the realignment of Taxiway A. The project also includes improvements to pavement marking, lighting and signage. Flight patterns and other operations at the airport would not be modified. Construction is anticipated to take place generally during the nightly closures and would be limited to between 2200 and 0600 to align with existing JWA curfew. During project implementation, all alterations to airfield operations would be subject to FAA Airport Traffic Control Towers approval, and a notice to airmen will be issued identifying temporary closure of portions of the airfield. Best Management Practices (BMPs) and a waste management plan will be incorporated. Limited offsite hauling of debris material is anticipated. Construction trips may utilize other local arterial highways but would not traverse neighborhood streets. Construction is anticipated to be initiated in Fall 2023 and be completed in Spring 2025.
