Document Description
California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has identified the need for sealing, paving, and adding guard rails to various roads and parking areas around the DWR Oroville Facilities. Many of these roads are heavily used by maintenance staff and some are used by the public. DWR will Rehabilitate roads and parking lots by remove and replace hot mix asphalt, in-place recycle and overlay, and slurry seal. The project will improve safety for DWR employees as well as the public.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 exempts actions that consists of, but is not limited to, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing facilities that will not result in significant impacts to environmental resources. This project’s purpose is to rehabilitate the parking and access roads around the Oroville O&M center and the Oroville Facilities to enhance safety and mobility for personnel, equipment, and the public. DWR has evaluated the project for cultural and biological resources and has determined the project will not result in significant impacts.
