These improvements include installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), electrical power boxes, and detectable warning surfaces at the crosswalk curb ramps, new crosswalk striping, and modifications to existing striping. Existing crosswalks will be upgraded to yellow continental style crosswalks. Ground disturbance is anticipated to occur to a maximum depth of 6 feet for installation of RRFBs and include minor concrete demolition and removal, formwork, and concrete/pavement work. Construction is anticipated to occur in 2026 and take approximately 30 days to complete. Real property transactions, utility relocations, temporary traffic control, and vegetation trimming may be necessary.
