Realignment of 19 Project Budgets to Support Extension of Summer Swim Season at Los Angeles County Pools
Document Type
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Document Description
The project proposes to provide budget adjustments for infrastructure and safety improvements to pool facilities previously approved on January 24 and March 7, 2023. Some of these pool projects have a budget shortfall due to unforeseen existing conditions and unexpected challenges, while other projects have a budget surplus. This project will provide budget revisions to balance the program-wide budget across the previously adopted capital projects. Importantly, these revisions will not require additional funding; they only reallocate the existing funding. The project scopes remain unchanged. The original project scopes include remodeling lighting systems at County pool facilities to enhance nighttime visibility during the evening hours and modifying building heating systems for the comfort of park patrons, where appropriate.
