Document Description
The City of West Sacramento has prepared a Sidewalks and Transportation Equity Program (STEP) Plan - a pedestrian plan that equitably prioritizes sidewalk gap closures and repairs in neighborhoods where residents rely on walking for daily trips most often, which will help enhance safety, connectivity, and accessibility for those residents. The STEP Plan helps the City to actualize General Plan policies to achieve multi-modal, complete street, and walkability goals. The outcome of this work will feed directly into the City’s next update to the Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Master Plan. This Plan illustrates the current state of the City's pedestrian network, prioritizes a list of sidewalk gap closure/improvement projects, and presents local funding and external grant pursuits to strategically plan for how to implement the projects.
