Document Description
On January 21, 2021, the Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners (Board) approved the underlying outdoor and building improvements, which include the renovation and refinishing of the gymnasium floor, the installation of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting, the renovation of the existing restroom to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, the replacement of the existing play area and surrounding resilient surfacing, and path of travel improvements (Outdoor and Building Improvements), as further described in Report No. 21-007. RAP staff has determined that additional funding is needed in order to complete the Outdoor and Building Improvements.
Beneficiaries of the project are the patrons of the park.

Reasons for Exemption
On January 21, 2021, the Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners (Board) approved PRJ21155 and determined that construction of the Outdoor and Building Improvements is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The proposed Project consists of the allocation of additional funding necessary for the completion of the Outdoor and Building Improvements. Such action will not change the previously approved Outdoor and Building Improvements and will not possibly have any significant effect on the environment.
