Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review which determined the project would not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment in that the project is consistent with the community plan and the applicable zone. The project would not result in any significant environmental impacts. The project meets the exemption criteria set forth in CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15302 (Replacement of Structure), 15303 {New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures), and 15332 (ln Fill Development Project), Consistent with the exemption allowed in CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15302 (Replacement of Structure}, the project includes the replacement or reconstruction of existing structure on the same site and with the same residential land use. Consistent with the exemption allowed in CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15303 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) the project includes the construction of a single-family residence and accessory structures in a residential zone. Consistent with the exemption allowed under CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15332 (In-Fill Development Project), the project consists of an infill development on a site less than five acres; is consistent with the land use and zone; will be adequately served by utilities and public services; results in no significant endangered, rare or threatened species habitat exists; and results in no other significant effects related to traffic, noise, air quality or water quality. Furthermore, the exceptions listed in 15300.2 would not apply.
