Reasons for Exemption
The project is categorically exempt from further review under CEQA per 14 CCR §15303 New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, §15304 Minor Alterations to Land, and §15311 Accessory Structures. The proposed electric vehicle charging stations and associated infrastructure are accessory and appurtenant to the main lodging structures and would be placed in an existing parking lot. Some small on-premise signs would be constructed in association with the parking spaces. Minor trenching would occur to place electrical conduits underground and the surface would be restored.
