Document Description
The Sonoma County Public Infrastructure Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project entails a preventative maintenance program that includes application of surface treatments to 24 bridges located throughout Sonoma County (County) in order to extend the service life of existing concrete bridge decks. Moscow Road over Hillside (20C0047) 8. Leveroni Road over Carriger Creek (20C0209) 9. Piine Flat Road over Sausal Creek (20C0413) 10. Main Street over Dutch Bill Creek (20C0160) 11. Rainsville Road over Willow Brook (20C0300) 12. River Road over Mark West Creek (20C0157) 13. Madrone Road over Sonoma Creek (20C0011) 14. Verano Ave over Sonoma Creek (20C0008) 15. Arnold Drive over Sonoma Creek (20C0213) 7.6 MI N or SR 116 The County proposes to treat decks of the selected bridges with either a methacrylate resin or a polyester concrete overlay in order to protect the existing concrete and extend the service life of the bridge decks. All work will occur on the bridge decks with minor staging limited to roadways and shoulders. Replacement of guard rail may occur in areas where the rail is bolted to deck railings or concrete and no ground disturbance is required for replacement. No work is proposed on the underside of the bridge, and no trees are proposed for removal. Best management practices to protect waterways and the natural environment will be implemented.

Section 15301 (c) exempts the repair or minor alteration of existing highways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar facilities.
