Document Description
The project will consist of rehabilitating (resurfacing treatment ) Various Roads, which experienced cumulative damage for approximately +/- 1.1 miles within the City of Clearlake. No new roads are being graded or created with this project. The resurfacing lane widths varies from 15 ft. to 30 ft., and the shoulder width varies from 1 ft. to 4 ft. The project does not alter nor change any existing/historical drainage patterns, however there are existing culvert pipes that have been damage and will be replaced. All culverts will be replaced within the existing footprint. All roadways are single lanes in each direction (two-lane roads). Also includes the installation of a culvert pipe to attach to an existing drainage inlet.

Reasons for Exemption
The project qualifies for the noted Categorical Exemptions as it is improving & rehabilitating deteriorated infrastructure to meet the current standards of health and safety. In addition to the rehabilitation, the city will be installing a new culvert extension to attach to an existing drainage inlet. All improvement will occur within previously disturbed/improved areas.
