Document Description
DWR and contractor will relocate and upgrade the Flood Control Operations secondary electrical generator that powers the main spillway gates. The new location for the upgraded generator will consist of a three-sided enclosure with fenced roofing and a concrete pad for the fuel tank. A new trench for the electrical conduit will be approx. 1 foot wide by 3 feet deep and 250 feet long. A new 13.7kV transformer will also be relocated for fire safety. All equipment and work are within the DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any significant environmental impacts.
