Document Description
The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) proposes to install early fire detection equipment approximately 50 ft. west of the terminus of Weaver Road in Santa Clara County (APN No. 558-30-001). The fire detection equipment (approximately 1 cubic foot) and 2 ft. by 2ft. solar panel would be mounted on an approximately eight-foot tall, two-inch pole set in a cement footing. The equipment would provide rapid warning of fire ignitions in the area via visible, thermal, and chemical detection. No external power or other equipment is proposed as part of the project.
