Document Description
This project would replace and make improvements to all 13 shade ramada locations (two of the sites are missing ramadas and furnishings) at the Hidden Valley Camp, located off Cahuilla Trail. The project shall comply with the 2015 CA Parks-Accessibility Guidelines Section 9 – Camping. The existing ramadas have been installed for more than a decade and dry rot damages to the posts and rafters is making them unstable and could pose a safety hazard for park visitors. Two of the ramadas sustained major structural damage during a high wind event and maintenance staff removed them; these will be replaced with ADA-accessible sites. Campsite amenities, including fire rings and picnic tables, will also be placed. Future maintenance is expected.
