Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines pursuant to the Provisions of Title 14 of the California Administrative Code, Section 15303 for new construction of a water storage tank to be utilized for irrigation of landscaping and support of the existing agricultural operation on site. The tank vicinity consists of ornamental landscaping around the main residence while the majority of the property is used for grazing and rangeland. The tank site is over 1,200 feet away from an unnamed blue line stream running through the middle of the property, and over 700 feet away from an unnamed blue line stream on the adjacent property to the north. Visual impacts resulting from the project have been evaluated and are anticipated to be less than significant.
No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply, and there is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
