The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-KER-22071-R4, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Applicant, City of Bakersfield. The Project includes activities related to replacement of the Kern River Backup Weir. Activities include demolition and removal of an existing concrete weir, retaining wall, riprap, and sheet piling, and construction of a new weir system and recontouring of the Kern River channel bed. The Agreement does not authorize the diversion of flow from the Kern River following construction
