Section 15306 (Information Collection): The Class 6 Categorical Exemption consists of basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. The project 4 potholes by the vacuum excavation method to support design of the Shoemaker Bridge Replacement Project.
The Port has determined that none of the exceptions to the exemptions in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15300.2 foreclose the use of the categorical exemption CEQA Guidelines Section 15306 (Information
Collection); therefore the Project is exempt from CEQA and no further environmental review is required.
