The project involves the removal and replacement of the slide gate at Entrance #2; the reconstructed slide gate will have the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced.

Reasons for Exemption
The Class 4 Exemption consists of minor public and private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes. Further, Section (f) includes minor trenching and backfilling where the surface is restored. The Project requires the automation of an existing chain link vehicular gate where trenching of asphalt will be required; these areas will be backfilled with the surface restored to match the surrounding area.
