Document Description
The project will involve the removal and re-construction of approximately 40 curb access ramps at certain locations in the City. The ramps replacement will generally occur in an area surrounded by Del Amo Boulevard to the North, Norwalk Boulevard to the East, 209th Street to the South, and Pioneer Boulevard to the West. The new ramps will be constructed in accordance with the pertinent Standard Plans for Public Works Construction (Greenbook) and in compliance with the latest Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines. Public Contract procedures allows for the number of ramps to be increased or decreased after award of the bid. This allows for flexibility in the total amount of funds spent. A formal bid process in accordance with the Public Contract Code will be followed.
