Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-RIV-47156-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Watersedge Elsinore Associates, LLC.
The project is limited to the removal of tamarisk throughout approximately 60 acres of the project site. Tamarisk removal will be accomplished by grinding trees and shrubs down to just above ground level utilizing a tree grinding machine. All removed tamarisk trees and shrubs will be chipped and spread as mulch. The remaining stumps will then be spot treated by herbicide application. Application will consist of either spot application to individual plants in areas of sparse weed coverage, or broadcast application to dense patches of weeds. Cut stumps will be subsequently monitored and repeatedly cut and treated with herbicide until the stump is dead.
