The project will install new traffic signal vehicle heads with retroreflective backplates, Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) signal timing, and advance limit lines with upgraded crosswalk markings at 16 signalized locations along Perris Boulevard. The traffic signal upgrades are intended to increase intersection safety, to reduce broadside and rear-end collisions, and to reduce pedestrian and bicyclist-involved collisions. No ground disturbance, new traffic lanes, or construction of new structures would be required to implement the project.
