537-27-047, is located on the southern slope of a hillside at 14915 Shannon Road in the Town of Los Gatos, California. The site was formerly used as a walnut orchard and equestrian boarding facility, and is currently developed with one single-family residence, known as the Elam Residence, as well as two barns, a corral, and horse arena on the lower southern slope of the hillside. The project site is within Sub-Area 1 (Blossom Hill Road) of the Town’s 1978 Hillside Specific Plan. The Town of Los Gatos General Plan designates the project site as Agriculture and the site is zoned Resource Conservation (RC).
Document Description
The 14915 Shannon Road (proposed project) would include the subdivision of the project site into nine residential lots, ranging in size from 1.538 acres to 10.414 acres. While development is not proposed at this time, it is anticipated that a total of nine single-family residences would be constructed in the future, as well as associated utilities and access roadways. Access to the project site would be provided by way of the existing Shannon Road and Sky Lane roadways, which are located along the project site frontage, and in the western portion of the project site, respectively. The proposed project would require discretionary approval of a General Plan Amendment from Agriculture to Hillside Residential, a Rezone from RC to Hillside Residential (HR-2 ½), and a Tentative Map.
