Reasons for Exemption
In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the La Verne Environmental Guidelines, staff is recommending a Categorical Exception per section 15319(b): Annexations of individual small parcels of the minimum size for facilities exempted by Section 15303, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures and 15303(a): One single-family residence, or a second dwelling unit in a residential zone. In urbanized areas, up to three single-family residences may be constructed or converted under this exemption. The proposed annexation and zoning will only allow for the future construction of a single-family home.
