In order to protect the public safety, health and welfare within the City, the provisions of ORD-23-0001 deems certain types of housing projects as ministerial actions and temporarily suspends rules related to Title 21 of the Long Beach Municipal Code for the duration of a proclaimed local emergency (15268 and 15269). Furthermore, the project includes housing for individuals experiencing homelessness within an infill parcel, and no significant adverse effects would result due to the project (15194 and 15332) (refer to statement of support on file with the Department of Community Development).
