Reasons for Exemption
The project is Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15301 and 15331 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, which apply to minor alterations of existing private structures involving negligible expansion of use, as well as apply to the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of historic structures in a manner consistent with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. The commercial building at this location is an existing private structure, the use is not proposed to be altered or expanded, and fascia replacement is considered a minor alteration.
