Description of nature and purpose of the Project: Coastal Development Permit for the demolition of an existing building, site preparation for the installation of a new 4,000-square-foot future modular building and site improvements that include new utilities and upgrades to existing parking adjacent to the San Diego International Airport at 2554 and 2610 California Street. The construction of the modular building is not part of this application; it shall be constructed by others after the completion of this project. Only site preparation is included in this application. The site is located in the IS-1-1 zone, Coastal (Non-Appealable) Overlay zone and the Airport Influence Area (SDIA) within the Midway-Pacific Highway Community Plan and Council District 2.

consists of construction, or placement of minor structures accessory to (appurtenant to) existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to parking lots; and where the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would not apply. The site is not included on any list compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 for hazardous waste sites.
