Document Description
The Applicant is proposing to construct and operate a new municipal drinking water well station named SLN 078. The station will consist of a concrete block building to house the well, pump, and water disinfection system consisting of a 12.5% sodium hypochlorite injection system fed from an onsite 300-gallon approved container. Other appurtenances include electrical equipment, onsite back-up generator, and station piping to connect the well to the existing distribution system. There will also be a new six-foot tall chain link fence around the facility. The Project is needed because the Applicant has had to decommission multiple wells due to elevated levels of nitrates beyond the primary MCL of 10-ppm.
