Document Description
DWR staff will perform embankment maintenance around the NBA Travis Tank. V-ditch drainage will be corrected, soil will be removed from a compacted culvert at the southeast side of the facility, and erosions will be leveled. Riprap will be added on the repaired embankment. Approximately 100-125 cubic yards of 6-inch riprap will be used along with native soil to repair the erosions. All equipment and work are within the DWR right of way.

Reasons for Exemption
The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities to prevent further erosion damage to SWP facilities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
