Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funding, is proposing to stabilize the slope between overpasses after removal of vegetation by using gabion baskets. Water runoff is eroding the slope and clogging drainage inlets. The project would install a drainage system to convey water away from the overpass. Field maintenance staff has requested to remove vegetation between Diamond Avenue and South Main overpasses on southbound Interstate 5.
