Document Description
The proposed use has been determined to be Categorically Exempt under the following California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and CEQA Guidelines. Section 15301 Class 1 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15303 Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) and Section 15332 Class 32 In-fill Development. Class 1 consists of existing structures in which an addition does not increase the size of the building by more than 50 percent of the floor area of 2,500 feet, whichever is less. Class 3 consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. Class 32 consists of projects that can be categorized as in-fill. The project is located within the city limits, is consistent with the zoning code and general plan, is no larger than five acres, the site has no value to endangered species, will not cause significant effects in regard to traffic and noise, and is already serviced by all utilities and public services. The project proposes to co-locate a new wireless facility onto an existing existing monopole wireless communication facility and the installation of minor equipment cabinets with a minor expansion to the existing enclosure.
