Description of Nature, Purpose and Beneficiaries of Project:
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funding, is proposing to repair or replace five culverts along State Route 3 in Siskiyou County at post-miles (PM) 28.89, PM 29.54, PM 29.73, PM 32.17, and PM34.79. These culverts have reached the end of the service life are heavily corroded and have holes or missing sections in the invert. The culvert end treatments are also corroded, bent, broken or damaged beyond conventional maintenance repair. This project would reestablish proper drainage and structural integrity of five culverts along the highway.
