Document Description
The District is proposing to construct the approximately 2-mile Belridge Pipeline between the California Aqueduct and the District’s 7th Standard Pipeline. The west end of the Belridge Pipeline would connect to an existing California Department of Water Resources turnout at the California Aqueduct. The pipeline would extend east from the California Aqueduct, across undeveloped land owned by the Chevron Corporation and other private parties, as well as across a portion of the Lokern Preserve before tying into the existing 7th Standard Pipeline just west of the Kern River Flood Canal. In addition to facilitating delivery to District water users, the Belridge Pipeline would also deliver water to the proposed Corn Camp Groundwater Recharge Pond, via an existing approximately 2-mile segment of the 7th Standard Pipeline. Additionally, the proposed project would install a new fiber optic line and new electrical line along the east side of the California Aqueduct to service the turnout at the California Aqueduct.
