Document Description
To preserve and extend service life of the roadbed, improve the safety, reliability, and rideability of this segment of the I-5 freeway. Also, to preserve and extend the useful life of the existing drainage culverts, roadside safety elements, TMS elements, evaluate complete street element needs, and upgrade pedestrian ramps up to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The project is needed to address the existing drainage culverts that are in poor condition, which jeopardizes the stability of the existing roadbed. Existing guardrail and crash cushions do not meet current standards and need to be upgraded. TMS elements and road signs are in poor condition and have reached the end of their service life and need to be upgraded.
